Well he does teach at high school, and from what I can tell, very much enjoys it. But his point is that although the youth interest is important, and encouraged, the big fish is the middle aged with bucks and desire and ability to foster growth. I cannot speak for Doug, but I believe he would say it is not just the youth to the exclusion of us old farts. In fact he was rather candid about that. My point is that the ARRL does not get many things that are as close as your nose. This salient point among them.
