My own exile on QRP-L has lasted for quite some time although I have been keeping an eye on the archives. I know, it's a bit of self-mutilation but these days I'm more intrigued by who is left there (and why they want to stay) rather than the endless riveting conversations about the good old dipole. I mean, sweet Molly Malone, if amateurs haven't figured out the dope on a dipole by now, we might as well give the bands up and take up pottery.
Could it be that the easier it becomes to obtain a ham license, the less we need to know, and therefore not understand things like dipoles.
I am NOT the sharpest technical knife in the drawer, but there's so much information on many of the lists that I can giggle over it.
