i'd just like to hear all the most current "home remedies" and "medical cocktails" that have been successful with skin sores. My partner has an open sore on one ischial, then the other one looks irritated and delicate. This morning starts his third day in bed and he now has a red spot on one of his heels (a pressure sore from being in bed all the time). Even tho we have an air bed. We have always had great success with Silica Gel, high protein diet including meets, eggs, and nuts (limit cheese), a protein shake, and sometimes a circulation herbal supplement.
I'd love to hear what others are doing. All the others had been taken off a long time ago. This morning I ran my wheelchair into the door & took it off the hinge. I knew the door was there. I knew I was going to hit it unless I stopped. But the message never got to my hand. At least I haven't broken any screws in the wheelchair YET. I am going to request offset hinges but I do not know anyone who has them. Does anyone here have them? The opening door frame to wall is small, only 4 inches.
