Yes, exactly. It's just that 'I always wanted one and now I can have it' feeling that makes it irresistible. I did actually use my bargain basement Q840AV as my primary Mac until I got a newer machine, though. And, the Quadra had alienated my affections for a IIci, which had replaced a IIcx (which suffered a power circuit failure). I have one each of these other Mac models, as well: SE, SE/30, LC, IIsi, Q700, 8500 (G3), and B&W G3. I also have a few dead ones, too. There are 7, or so, x86ish machines hanging around, too.
It's not disease, it's just a collecting hobby. They take up space -- more than stamps, less than cars. If it makes you happy and doesn't harm you or others, don't worry!
