I think the point is, any email to anyone, no matter off topic or not, should have a
certain *courtesy*.  My original reply to the poster told him to try the PPC list. 
In fact, after I replied another list member posted a reply with a little more info.
 Both of our posts were *polite*.  Then Paul comes on and snaps at the guy when,
really, two members already replied and he probably got the point to post to another
list.

It was unnecessary, and pretty rude.  

This list has very little traffic.  Why can't the list-nanny reply something like
"Hey man, we'd love to help you but you're not really going to get an answer here
since we're all 040 geeks" or something.  Instead, he says "You could try the right
list" which to me sounds cold and rude.  I didn't blow it out of proportion, I just
pointed out that Paul was pretty cold and unfriendly in his response.
