I get a prompt that comes up and says that if I want to
open this Extension, I need to put it in the Extension
folder.
You know, I get the same action that you describe. You know what else,
Tom, this is perfectly *normal*. There is no trouble here.
Is there any reason for you to believe those extensions you inspect are
not active?
