    Guide without having to go to Extensions.

It would help if I knew that too. Someone on this list will come up with 
the correct answer, if I foul it up. ;-)

I sorta remember that Apple Guide is not just an extension in the System 
Folder, but also an action that the OS provides to display online help 
info. On the menubar is a HELP item, next to SPECIAL. Click on this to 
open a list of items that will include stuff like SHOW BALOONS and 
<YOUR_APPLICATION_HERE> HELP CONTENTS. That second one I just mentioned, 
that will trigger the Apple Guide for the application you're working with.

Hopefully, Tom, that will answer your questions.
