Just because water flows through the radiator freely does not mean that
it is good.
If it is out of the car (maybe possible in the car). hold your hand on
the bottom hole fill radiator to the top.
release hand, . the water should rush out quickly then taper off. if it
is a fast but steady flow then it is furring up.
I didn't spot my fiesta one until it was put up against a recorded one
and demonstrated.

Yes it does use the Sierra fan, it's a blower and it's on the right
side of the rad.

Putting a fan on the other side and swapping the wires over doesn't
work
very well.
Sucking fans have different blade shapes to blowing fans.
