Its more along the lines of my boss is a DJ, and our company puts on a lot of award shows. We want something we can use in Arkoas as part of a set, that reacts to specific frequencies, in this case the kick. I like the idea of being able to take the kick frequency as a line out directly, but that won't always be possible (depending on the event). I think using the Kineme plugin (do you have the name by the way? I haven't had a chance to log on to the site to check yet) and isolating the frequency will be the best bet at this point.
Luckily I do have the opportunity (although not as frequently as I'd like) to work directly with the sound and lighting engineers but I'd like to come prepared with something that at least works on my machine beforehand rather than relying on a line out when I don't know if it will work.
