Hi,

Follow these steps and report the results:

1. Go to the "Run" dialog with WINDOWS+R and type "control". You should now be in the "Control Panel".

2. Select "Sounds and Audio Devices" (or similar).

3. CTRL+TAB to the "Hardware" tab and move to the "MIDI" combo box. Report all of the devices present in this combo box, pointing out the number of instances of the "Microsoft GS Wavetable".

4. Close the "Sound..." dialog and the "Control Panel" by repeatedly pressing ALT+F4.

"Secondly, Qws doesn't remember my instrument list selections. Always when I edit or record something, i have to always select the "General gm2 instrument"."

I'm not sure what could be causing this but it may have something to do with the multiple synth issue. Can someone else shed some light?
