I understand. Is this where a program like Sonar or GoldWave comes in?
Can one export the midi data from QWS to a program like one of the
ones I name above and do the voice over there?

QWS is totally MIDI only.
So if you have dreams of doing multi-track recording with audio and
MIDI, no kind of raw audio can be edited inside this program.
As to the K2600, can't help you out there.
I don't remember seeing any part of the manual explaining how to set
up qws with any professional keyboards or the like.
