this would be nice, but one thing that definitely needs work is when you
use
a time signature other than 4-4. For instance, if you're using 3-4, and
you
press left and right arrows to move forward one bar, it's still moving 4
beats at a time.
Also is there a way to select one beat instead of the whole bar?
You'll be wanting alt V z then. Alt v for view menu, z for zoom.
Changing the value in that dialog from 4, to 3 for example, while working
on a 3/4 piece will move the cursor in movements of three instead of four.
