No no no!
You can just press the note on your keyboard which you want to use. For example, when you're on the edit field for the first beat, just press the note on your keyboard that you want to use. You can just keep pressing notes until you find one you might like, as only the last note you press will be the one it will use. I would recommend a nice loud bell or a nice bright click that will stand out over other beats. Then for the other beats, just go on the edit field and press the note you want to use there. a softer click would be good. If you can find the metronome sounds your keyboard uses, then I would recommend using those, especially if you'd used its on board sequencer with those metronome sounds. But you can use whatever you want.

Hi Alexander,

Well, for example, C#2 is not a stick sound on my keyboard. So do I
choose a different soundfont like gm2 for that sticksound?

Thanks,

Johnny

that's in the options dialog. to change the metronome sounds go to
options by hitting alt o, then metronome by hitting m, then you are
presented with a dialog box, follow the steps from there

this would be nice, but one thing that definitely needs work is when you
use
a time signature other than 4-4. For instance, if you're using 3-4, and
you
press left and right arrows to move forward one bar, it's still moving 4
beats at a time.
Also is there a way to select one beat instead of the whole bar?

You'll be wanting alt V z then. Alt v for view menu, z for zoom.
Changing the value in that dialog from 4, to 3 for example, while working on a 3/4 piece will move the cursor in movements of three instead of four.
HTH.
