Hello Arne,

I have just checked out recording from multiple simultaneous sources in QWS and it works.

I even recorded a sysex.

I recall someone suggested getting a MIDI monitor program to check what your keyboard is actually sending. Did you manage to do this? What were the results?

Hope this helps.

James.

Hello all,

thanks for your suggestions, but I could not solve the problem.

QWS cannot record multiple channels or ports at once, maybe that is the reson. The patch in question is a layered detuned organ, so on Channel1 I have one organ left and on Channel2 the other one right, both are detuned. The patch information from MIDI bulk dump and from panel settings does not have any effect on the settings, but the patch changing buttons can set the layer-organ patch. This is only possible in live recording, and it is not possible to change parameters afterwards. What is more, and I cannot find out any details about it, there are 2 MIDI-out ports for my P-250. What I will do is to ask someone to read out the MIDI settings of the P-250 to me in case there is some wrong setting though I set everything to default and sending/receiving of all data should be possible.

What can I do to make QWS record from multiple MIDI-channels at once, even if the track is already recorded and should get another set of layer?

In fact, I just want to play my P-250 with some patch changes, so I want to record both what I play and the special settings of layers and voices - and of course after all, I'm still most impatient to do that :).

Best regards,
Arne
