Hi folks, OK you're bashing on the simplicity versus power door again.
On the one hand, I could make tools which each take twenty parameters and can do everything you could ever possibly imagine. But that would probably be way too complicated for even intermediate users. On the other hand, I can make tools which have very limited parameters, are easy to use and understand, but might not do everything the most advanced users require. However, advanced users can work out that they could get what they want with a couple of extra steps on the rarer occasions when they want it. So, if you'd like a note range added to the Transform tool, then I guess you also might want a velocity range adding as well. Then, why just the Transform tool, why not also the set length, change velocity, split key, split velocity, split length, ... even transpose or quantise tools? What do you think? If you think it would be genuinely useful for the majority of users, I can add it to the suggestions list. Best regards, James.
