A midi clock does what it's name implies. It keeps the time. When the midi
clock is turned on on your keyboard for example and in your sequencer program,
you can have conflicts. Usually you turn off the midi clock in the device
that's doing the playing as the clock in the device doing the generating is in
control. That's how it was explained to me.

Happy Holidays to all!

  Subject: QWS List midi clock?

  Hi list,
Recently someone mentioned the midi clock, which I've never used. I don't
even know what it's for. The only thing I do know is that Bassmidi doesn't like
it so I had to turn it off. So, can anyone explain what it is and how it would
be useful?
  Thanks, and happy holidays!
