I *love* this capability and wish it could be expanded in the following ways: 1. Remove the necessity for going into track properties and just accept the MIDI messages from the keyboard or whatever is on the other end. 2. This one's a really way-out wish. When program change messages come in from the keyboard or rack module, look them up in the loaded instrument definition list and automatically place the name somewhere on the screen and speak it. What this would get us is a one-stop/one-place way of changing patches without having to take one's hands off one's keyboard or rack module whilst selecting the patch one wants to use.
