Well, this happened several years ago, so I don't remember everything,
and haven't had it since. I'll try my best.
I was making a midi, that was supposed to be in 6/8 time signature. But
I didn't like the way QWS was still moving by quarter notes even though
I set the zoom to 1 and the time signature to 8th notes. So, I just used
4 4 time at a slower tempo, so that 3 8th notes was the first beat, and
the other 3 would be the rest of the measure. if that makes sense. And
to make it complicated, the drums needed some kind of swing beat which I
had to use my keyboard's styles for since I couldn't come up with
anything I liked. So, after I recorded it, it was just a bit messy so I
had to tidy it up. And after doing a quantize to 9 notes per beat, most
of the drums ended up quantized to the nearest 6th instead of 9. I
believe I might have gotten it after time gliding and other things. I
can't remember exactly. I never finished the midi because I wasn't
liking the way it was turning out, but it wasn't because of that.

5 doesn't go into 192 that greatly either but again, it's doable. I
just played the part at a slow speed and quantised after, and it did
actually seem to come out alright.
How have you found it breaking for you out of interest?

You can't use decimals. But, I don't really see the need. If you
quantize to a quarter note, that should be good enough to get your
notes where they should be. If it doesn't help much, then something
is definitely wrong. There is some editing in order.
Going further, the only problem I see with the quantize functions is
that if you try to quantize to 9, it sometimes doesn't work properly,
because 192/9 is not an even number. But I rarely if ever need to do
that, and if I do, I'll just play with things to get it right. Has
anyone been on this road before?
