There has to be a program that does this, as sf2 files are, from what I
understand, just several SSFZ files arrayed in a bank of sounds.

I haven't found anything yet, but I'm still looking around. I know there is
a program to convert from sf2 to sfz but at the moment I can't remember the
name. Wouldn't be very useful anyway because that's not what we're looking
for at the moment...
