I'm thinking about possibly using MIDIYoke or an equivalent package for
getting QWS to play live (and record for later listening) with
non-Microsoft sounds, whether it's sound fonts or soft synths.
I'm curious to know whether Reaper or VSTHost has a shorter latency time
in Windows 8 Home Premium X64 via an M-Audio KeyStudio 49.
Plan on using the core audio (WASAPI) method for best results.
Unless ASIO can deliver where core audio can't.
Small side note: I'd be interested in at least getting the Yamaha
SY-XG50 series going on this here lappy since that's what all of my
music's been recorded with as of late.
Preferably seeking out the 2-mb version of the soft synth.
The 4 MB is cool, but there's just something in the 2 mb version I can't
shake.
Is it safe to say I sometimes listen to music with my eyes?
That includes random teardrops on the M-Audio keyboard when a score
comes out near if not exactly perfect like I remember?
(For those wondering, "as of late" really refers to a Windows XP Service
Pack 3 desktop; It's still here, but I'm finding fairly quickly that
this is my go-to partner in crime, if you will)…
