I am not sure what do you exactly mean in how Can you use the iPhone as a synth... question.. Usually, qws will work with any midi USB synths or even firewire (I have done some remote controlling with a makie digital console ETC) . YOu can look up on the articles for using vsts, and connecting other synths through virtual midi cables, but until you can clarify I cannot be of further aid, unless there's clearly something I'm missing or failing to understand.
