The bank and program numbers are changing, but the instruments aren't
following after 127. They seem to be just starting over. This instrument
definition was made back in 2009. Has QWS changed in the way it handles
these now? Banks appear to be 0, 1,2,3 etc. Should they be 128 or
something else?

Are you changing the bank number? Remember that most QWS bank numbers are
high definition bank numbers, so the second bank isn't bank 1, it's bank
128. But the Onj sound font definition file should handle this for you.

Transpose and delay is fixed. Thanks for that. Here's my next question.
I am playing with the onj sound font. It moves up the instruments up to 127,
then it seems to start over, though the labels for instruments continue to
change. I switched the instrument definition to onj and the sound font is
also set to onj in cool soft. Why am I hearing only some of the patches and
then they start repeating instead of keeping up with the instrument list?

You also sometimes see this kind of stuff if MIDI Clock is turned on.
Check it and if it's on and you don't need it to control an
arpeggiator or other clocked device turn it off.

Questions
In this case, you must've bumped the transpose button on your controller.
The transpose buttons are probably near the octave buttons.

It is the whole keyboard that is transposed a half step up. Now, how

The delay problem is easy. All you have to do is adjust the buffer
size
in the cool soft options menu. I have mine turned all the way down to
zero, and it doesn't stutter, at least, if my PC is working smoothly.
About the note problem, is the whole keyboard transposed, or is it
just to C that sounds wrong? If it's the whole keyboard, you might try
pushing the transpose button on your controller.

Hello: I am trying to use this midi controller with QWS with the
cool
Soft midi synthesizer with different sound fonts. I have two problems.
First of all, the delay is so bad that I am just totally behind. It is
somewhere between a quarter and a half of a second. The second problem
is when I press "C" on even a new project, I get a "C-SHARP". How can
I address these to issues? I have successfully used QWS with lots of
other synthesizers. This is my first go at a software based one
though. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
