Yes, I saw that it was an introduced binding. I just didn't understand why it should not be visible outside the macro transformer. No matter how many times I read Joe's excellent tutorial, papers on the topic, etc., `syntax-rules' doesn't become intuitive. I was never a fan of `define-macro', but at least it was easy to understand. Please don't read this as a suggestion that we should get rid of `syntax-rules'.
