The alarm-times are configured in the device but stored on the server
(MySB.com or Local-Server). At least for the first alarm the devices
save the time locally and (are supposed to) play a 'backup/fallback
sound' if something goes wrong.
With the Boom thats some beeping, the Radio has a local mp3 with some
'funky' music but I also had times when it started to beep as well.
So (except the situation where power fails) at least everyone should be
waken regardles of server-status and errors.

Unfortunately this mechanism doesn't work currently very well :(
Thats why people most of the time have problems when:

- connected to MySB.com and having switching IPs (as the radio
currently has big troubles automatically reconnecting to MySB.com with
  a changed IP)
As most providers (at least here in germany) shortly disconnect and
change IP at midnight, tests on the evening always work but the alarm
  fails next morning.
- have a local server that is not stable
- have wakeup-streams that are not stable

Rumour goes, that the upcoming Touch release is currently prioritized
higher than fixing the alarm problems.
Logitech didn't contradict so far.
