I have 2 Booms and a Radio. Personally, the Boom sound better, but the Radio is still very good. The radio display is nicer IMO, but much harder to read at distance, so that might make a difference. When the battery is here the radio will come into it's own. It's much lighter than the Boom and has a carry handle so if portability is high on the list then go for a Radio. As far as robustness then the Radio is stable for me (but I'm not using mySB.com which has had issues, or Alarms which again have issues but are being fixed at a rate of knots). I think the best choice is very dependant on the environment you are going to use it in, both are great!
