As others say, the usage will be no problem. Especially for the oldest. But you will of course need to maintain the server. Not that its a big deal. And I recommend that you get one for yourself as well. Then it's much easier for you to help them if they run into problems.
But. What happens when the kids start developing their own music taste? Will you add the tracks they want to the (your) library? Will you let them do it by themselves? What audioquality will you allow? Well, if you're not going to listen to you don't need to care. But what about tags? What quality tags will you allow in your library? Poor tagging will polute your entire library. Remember, kids don't care about albums, so you will see hundreds of albums with just one or two tracks. The single library structure is something that requires quite an effort in a family-setup compared to a decentralised solution like iPods or othe mp3-players. -- Muele BR Mogens 2 Radios (1 battery), 2 Controllers, 2 Receivers, 1 Softsqueeze (at work), SqueezeCommander and SqueezePlayer on Se X10 mini and HTC Desire. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Muele's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21310 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93574 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
