Interesting results with my UE rev.0007 radio.

All tests were done playing 48Khz 16bit flac files via wireless

Test#1
Firmware jive_alsa buffer size 20000 buffer count 2

I HAD THE BASS DROPOUT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AND IT DID RECOVER A BIT
LATER.

First time I've ever noticed that happen. However, the first thing I've
always done on the radio is turn off the sound effects.

Test#2
Firmware jive_alsa buffer size 30000 buffer count 3

No bass dropout for the duration of the test about 13m. No alsa errors
logged.

Test#3
ri1.4 jive_alsa buffer size 20000 buffer count 2

No base dropout during the 30m test. Lots of alsa errors and a few
kernel ssi1_irq SISR 120 SIER 180100 fifo_errs=?

Test#4
ri1.4 jive_alsa buffer size 30000 buffer count 3

No base dropout during the 20m test. No errors reported

I've attached the logs from the first 3 tests, didn't bother with #4.

Thanks for putting this together.
