It's certainly possible however, I have a dlink and an asus wifi access
point that the radio would not connect to using the stock wpa_supplicant
whereas with v2.9 the radio connects immediately.

I'd been running the latest 7.8.0r16788 over wifi for 24days and a bit
before the radio rebooted due to the 'timer overflow issue'
(https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?111650-Spontaneous-turning-on).
I've never had stability issues with any of the custom builds but I
only have 1 ue radio rev.7 hardware so it's an extreme small test bed.
