I'm the author of the PowerSave plugin. I was able to reproduce this on my Squeezebox Radio, so there's a reasonable chance I'll be able to fix it. I haven't made any changes to the plugin for over 10 years (!) so it might take a little while to remember how to package up a new version for distribution.
