More time than I thought......
I have just managed to get the preset buttons on my remote to play numbered presets on both Radio and Touch. SETTINGS > ADVANCED > BETA FEATURES > SHORTCUTS That gives you a whole load of options, some local to the machine interface, and some for the IR Remote, including Setting Presets and Playing Presets. Who knew! I'd never looked there in maybe 15 or more years of SB ownership! Note - on the Radio, I already had presets assigned to the local puttons. So in the menu I found, I simply selected IR #1 as Play Preset 1, etc - and that worked fine. On the Touch (and maybe I was doing something wrong in the menu choices) I did not have any Presets saved locally (I do have many Favoties saved). So I found that I have to activate the IR number buttons as SAVE. Then play and save each preset with a long hold. Then go back and deactivate the SAVE option, and activate the PLAY option instead. That then gave me switchable presets on a longish numerical button hold. It didn't see to me to be possible to have SAVE and PLAY activated at the same time - if I did, then any button press on the remote was a SAVE, not a PLAY..... Well, you learn something every day!
