I'm having trouble with this myself - it's a confusing set of menu choices....... Having looked at my (Touch) set up again, I think that you have a choice in those player menus of either SAVE or PLAY mode for each remote-driven preset #. Ie, activating PLAY (by using the right arrow button on the remote) switches the fucntion from SAVE to PLAY. And vice versa. What I can't figure out is why there is a check mark next to SAVE when you activate that, but no check mark next to PLAY when you activate that instead..... Really strange! However, I think this may be easier on Radio. Set your presets using the buttons on the Radio. Then go into the Beta menus, and select (right arrow) the PLAY option for each button / preset. Look after that to see if there are any check marks by the SAVE option lower down - there should not be. Now back out of those menus, and see if the remote will switch presets. Should do. I ?think? its logic is that, if activated, SAVE takes precedence until you tell the device to prefer PLAY......
