Hi Lorenzo, I am not from Australia, but I have been planning my move Down Under for quite some time and have done some extensive research on this topic. My observations are that both Melbourne and Sydney have viable RoR communities; however, the distribution of companies and job opportunities is about 2/3 to 1/3 in favor of Sydney.
