Hi Jon

I've been lurking on this mailing list for a while with similar intents to
yours (though I can code as well ;)). A while ago I filed this bug report
suggesting a community wiki so that documentation can be written and easily
updated, though there was no reply to the bug:

http://bugzilla.rawstudio.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275

I would be interested in yours and the dev team's thoughts on this. A wiki
seems like the easiest way to go, provided it is well maintained.

In regards to your comments on usability, I couldn't agree more.

Scroll wheel to zoom seems like a reasonable feature. The functionality
exists in many other programs (Photoshop, Maya, Google Maps!), so users
would be familiar with it.
Clicking the image to set the white balance is very counter intuitive in my
opinion. I think a better way would be click-drag to pan around the image at
higher zoom levels. A button could then be added to the toolbar to activate
an eyedropper for selecting the neutral colour.

I did have a look in the code a while ago to see how easy it would be to
change the white balance functionality, but I never got time to actually
implement it.

Cheers
Michael
