On CPU's. I always get intel, since that is what all subsidiary chip mfrs design against and in times past, I always went to the AMD site to check for the existence of patches to cover any anomalies against any particular chip sets.
When I am buying a computer, I find that in the sense that the computer I am using is something I have to depend on day after day to keep me moving forward, I don't mince over pricing vs reliability and experience.
