Hmmm... my experience is the exact opposite, Javier. If I'm doing something "official" online and I put my street as Beckwith Ln (which is what I usually do), I get the automatic response of "do you want to replace it with official address Beckwith Lane" Karen -----Original Message----- From: javier.valen...@vtgonline.com To: rbase-l@googlegroups.com Sent: Fri, Sep 3, 2021 12:09 pm Subject: RE: [RBASE-L] - Doing a replace in a data field in RBASE

The caveat is that my applications are used by Public Works agencies that deal with numerous variations of the same name and need to interface with GIS systems and the address is typically stored as separate components and a computed column merges them all together. I would like to change a database field similar to using the find and replace function in Excel. In my street name field I have ("Black Gold Ln", "Mirage Ln", etc.). I would like to mass blast this field by changing all of my "Ln"s to "Lane". Would someone know how I could accomplish that?
