Frank,
I do not use this setup at all, but somewhere back in the recesses of the folds of remaining grey matter I still have, I recall that the Printer Name has to match on both ends as well.. Can you verify that?

Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: Remote Desktop Printing

Bob

Are you talking about users connecting remotely with Windows Terminal Server and Remote Desktop Connection or Citrix ?? If MS Terminal Server, make sure that the printer that the remote users are connecting with has the exact printer driver for the version of Operating system that is on their computers. Example, a user with an HP 1200 using windows XP, Download the 1200 series driver for XP to the terminal server, unzip it and install it on the terminal server (Control Panel - Printers and Faxes - File - server properties - Drivers tab - Add). I have not used Citrix in a long time, but I believe the same thing goes for this as well

I also wrote a short script that launches at the start of rbase and based on the computer, it sets the default printer using the net use command. I will send that to you if you think this is something you want to try as well

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Remote Desktop Printing

Hello all,
I'm sure this subject has come up before. but I am now just getting to this issue.
I have a compiled application sitting on a server.
Now there are several people hitting this at once (and seems to not hiccup at all EXCEPT... Some people can print to their local printers, some cannot. I cannot myself from home, and I have administrative rights. It prints at the server home location when I send the command. I set up my remote access to see my local resources including printers but cannot seem to make this work (I cannot see my printer - windows 7 ultimate) This is in a critical beta test, so I am a little trepidatious about getting IT to look at this (big corporation - not R:Base friendly, except MY app!
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
