Alastair,
To answer your questions -
The app file is 9k.
I'm working at home so, I'm running on a stand alone machine.
Running XP Prof
The database name is FLRS
The application name is now AAF03.
Below is the startup I'm using;
STARTUP
CONNECT FLRS
SET COLOR WHITE ON CYAN
SET CAPTION 'All About Floors'
SET VAR vINV# TEXT
SET NULL ' '
Below is the start of the app.
$COMMAND
AAF03
DISCONNECT
SET QUOTE = '
SET VAR SAVE_MESSAGES = (CVAL('MESSAGES'))
SET VAR SAVE_ERROR = (CVAL('ERROR'))
SET MESSAGES OFF
SET STATICDB OFF
SET ROWLOCKS ON
DEBUG SET MESSAGES ON
RUN STARTUP IN AAF03.APX
SET ERROR MESSAGES OFF
DEBUG SET ERROR MESSAGES ON
NEWPAGE
SET COLOR WHITE ON CYAN
SET BELL ON
LABEL LBEG1
NEWPAGE
CHOOSE PICK1 FROM MENU0000 IN AAF03.APX
SET V PICK11 = (SSUB(.PICK1,1)), +
PICK12 = (SSUB(.PICK1,2))
CLEAR VAR PICK1
IF PICK12 = '[ESC]' THEN
GOTO LEND1......

Ok, it was worth a try and I don't mind being wrong - much!!
If you want to send me the .app file I'll take a look at it for you or -
if
it's not too big, only a "k" or two at most - then post it to the list
(preferably as part of an e-mail, not an attachment) if you prefer to
let
everyone put their brains to it. You've got me intrigued now - there
must be
something that's causing your problem.
Another thought, are you on a network and got a mapped drive that's
dynamic
in some way or reverts to the original database?
Regards,
Alastair.
