What happens is that you are changing the name of the application but not the name of the data base that is called from within the application. To change the name of the called data base do the following: Make sure that your data base files and application files are in the same directory for windows they have the extensions *.app, *apw ,and *apx. From the tools menu open the Application Designer, this will open the application express. In the name box click the down arrow and select you application name; your menus will show up on the screen. Click on the Express option on the tool bar and select EDIT STARTUP BLOCK; A screen will open and the first line will be CONNECT YOUR_DATA_BASE_NAME. Edit the name of the data base with the name of the new data base. Save the application and now it will connect to the new data base name. For DOS the procedure is the same except that the application files have the extensions *.app, *.api and *.apx. If you manually edit the *app file, you will no longer be able to use the Application Express and you will have to make all the changes to the *.app file manually and then compile it using Codelock. The procedure above will allow you to continue using the Application Express to further modify your application..
