Myron I think you are actually FINE - there IS NO PROBLEM:

works with the new database not the old one."

I THINK this means that:

1. You did the modification of the application, so you had to be connected
to the database before you started in order to be allowed to begin.
2. You saved the changes
3. You returned to the R. prompt expecting to be CONNECTED now to the new
database.

Which would NOT be true - you changed the APPLICATION: ie you changed the
line in the code which says CONNECT so that when you run it, it connects the
NEW database, but you did not connect the new db at any time during the
process!

SO I think you are OK - if when yhou RUN the new app it uses the new
database, you're fine!
