We have this same issue here. What I usually find it to be is bad code
in that portion of the program, a variable or something.

It's also possible you are 'running out' of virtual memory. Certain
looping procedures in our app cause virtual memory to get completely
taken and eventually RBase hangs or crashes. This is not a feature or
problem with Windows (it happens on NT Kernel machines (nt,2k,xp)).
It's a bug in RBase or the Dos extender. We think we've found it but
RBTI doesn't like to hear that it's app is the one causing problems,
they like to blame Windows, which is not the problem.

Subject: XP Pro and 6.5++

Hi all --- sorry, I hit Enter and I think I sent a
response too soon. First mistake this year!

I am running RBW 6.5++ with the second patch installed
on XP pro. I have not installed the latest patch for
XP.

I get kicked out of RBase about 1-2 times a week at
different spots. I am unable to duplicate the
crashes.

Is there something I should look for or is this a
feature in Windows to free up memory?

Thanks
marc
