I think Mark Reimer said, :Possible? Yes. Enjoyable? Debatable..."  I agree 
with his sentiment.

You and I have both ridden some really gnarly terrain with our Homer's and 
though it can be done (a testament to Homer's DNA) the side pull brakes 
just are not meant to pull that kinda duty. On long descents with a load 
it's misery. Your hands and peace of mind will suffer. This is the main 
reason I jumped on the Bantam Adventure Bike v2.0.
