Exactly the issue and the solution i keep coming back to ( from a pragmatic standpoint) . I considered getting a surly 26" fork even ( since Homers fork has been bent before ). It's that or would that Legolas fork work for homer ? I'd love a crust evasion small but those are impossible to come by ! Who knows maybe I'll still find a vintage mountain bike ... in the end I love the Rivendell ethos of riding what you have .
