I've never followed through on the impulse, but I've thought of using
little dabs of silicone caulk to hold wires to tubes. In the event, I never
got around to trying this as a replacement for zip ties or electrician's
tape, but I imagine it would be neater if done carefully. I would think
that Shoe Goo might prove very hard to remove; and Shoe Goo does yellow as
it ages.

In fact, now that I think of it, of my 3 bikes with generators, only the
Hon Solo has not guides or internal routing; still an opportunity to try
silicone; and I bought some recently for a kitchen job ...
