Dear Mark, Tektro cr720's are a fine enough brake, and when set up properly, work as well as any. They have the significant advantage of using orbital brake pads and slotted pad holder mounts that greatly simplify setup. Just replace the astonishingly bad Tektro brake blocks with Kool-Stop Salmon pads Also, the hardware on the brake is less-than-beautifully finished, if functional.
They punch well above their $45/bike price. Add $12 for Salmon pads up front. If cost is no object, then the RH brakes work well in my experience. They are lovely as well.
