Just be aware that right around where the River to Ridge trail ends, there is a table in the woods where they will collect $20 for a day bike pass or $100 for a yearly. Also, helmet required. You can get to Minnewaska completely via the carriage roads--I did it a few weeks ago for the Rivendell 25th Eastern Seaboard Ride.
