Kate,

Albatross--I like this bar a lot and like the look and rise, but the
biggest issue is real estate (grips, brakes, shifter, bell and mirror all
on bar for me) This bar also has a bit of a rise that I like. On my 54.5
AHH, I have this paired with a 60 stem. I'd do OK with a 70, too. I think
I ride a little more upgright than you, but not Mary Poppins. Even with
limited RE, it's probably my favorite. The swoops are to me, artistic and
mimic the swoop of the rear seat stays (not sure if named that part right).

Choco--I like this bar a lot, but I need more rise that what it gives
(none). Mine was the steel Moosey version on my 51 Joe Appalooosa, so the
stem was a 12 cm with a rise built in. Because of the lack of rise that I
need to not have neck pain when riding, I'm not considering these for my
Platy (the non moosey aluminum ones don't have any rise).

Loscos--I bought these from fellow lister Joe B (thanks, Joe!) as a
possible bar, because it has a similar shape to the Choco and has a little
rise. I don't love the look but think it will work well. My biggest
concern is these is that it will come back too far, even with a long stem.

Billie--after reading the comments about this within the last two days, I
decided to try these. It looks nice like the albatross but with more real
estate, and it doesn't come back as far as the Loscos. My biggest concern
is they are wider than the others, which are already wide enough...

(it's so hard to find a perfect partner, whether it be boyfriend or
handlebar...)

When I pick up my Platy, I expect to also have my AHH with me. We can
meet at the park and you can look, test ride and even borrow the two
handlebars that I don't put on the bike. Send me a PM if interested.

Will,

It's interesting that Maia has an 85 stem with the Alba. I need something
shorter, but that might be good for Kate.

Leah,

Here we go again, getting each excited and spending money on fabulous bike
stuff. Yes, just change one thing at a time. Most likely, if Analog can
get me this bar, they'll start me on a 10cm stem or long. I like a little
more "lean." I hope they are not too wide. I'm looking forward to hearing
your reaction.
