Good ones are. But, that doesn't in and of itself mean it's immune to breakage. There's some differences in forging - hot, cold, near-net - and how much machining takes place after the fact. The two crank arms I had fail were old, and failed on a radiating crack at an inlet (stress riser?) and new and failed amidships (turns out there was a recall) http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclofiend/2685514406/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclofiend/sets/72157622446951852 - Jim -- Jim Edgar cyclofi...@earthlink.net Gallery updates now appear here - http://cyclofiend.blogspot.com Cyclofiend Bicycle Photo Galleries - http://www.cyclofiend.com Current Classics - Cross Bikes Singlespeed - Working Bikes -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
