I had pretty good luck with a slit (more like a tear) and re-sealing. Did that w/ the kids' bikes & Slime. The prob. w/ Stans or other latex-based is that it evaporates pretty quickly and you need to replace in 3-6 months. Removable cores are definitely the way to go with that stuff.
