Funny, during the first batch I did on the stove top it became obvious to me that I would need to move this operation outdoors to keep harmony. However, my spouse seems to like the roasting odors as much as I do and the smoke is sucked up the range hood so I don't feel too bad that I still have not searched for that electric burner in the basement.
