The combination of the PS2 gamepad with some speed controls is touchy 
when the joystick is in the "center" position, because the PS2 gamepad 
doesn't always mechanically return to center (depends on the brand) and 
some speed controls are extremely sensitive to any joystick movement. 
For that reason, the C6C has an adjustable dead-band setting on all 
joystick channels.  The Victor 883 *might* also have an adjustable 
dead-band setting.

Hmmmm .... maybe I should start looking at a touch-pad version of the 
C6C to eliminate all moving parts.  Where's my surplus catalog ....
